RECRUITMENT

The process of finding and attracting the capable employees for employment is called as recruitment. Recruitment involves searching for the potential and eligible candidates to persuade them for applying for the job in the organization.

Recruitment is a continuous and positive process whereby the firm attempt to gather a pool of candidates who are prospective and qualified for the future needs of the organization.

According to Edwin.D.Flippo, ” Recruitment is the process of searching for prospective candidates and stimulating them to apply for jobs in the organization”.

FACTORS EFFECTING RECRUITMENT

There are many factors which affect the recruitment decisions of the organization. They are broadly classified into two types based on their nature, they are as follows.

  • External Factors

01. Internal factors Effecting Recruitment

The Internal factors are the factors that are from the side of the organization i.e these are the factors which are inside the organization. The internal factors have more influence on the recruitment aspects of the organization. Some of the factors are as follows,

  • Recruitment Policy of the firm
  • Size of the company
  • Cost of recruitment
  • Growth of the company
  • Expansion policies of the company
  • Social responsibility of the organization, etc.

02. External Factors

The external factors are the factors from the outside of the organization. The management of the organization doesn’t have any control over these factors and company should be very careful about these factors. Some of them are as follows

  • Supply and Demand of Human Resources in the market
  • Unemployment rate in the nation
  • Labour market trends
  • Political and Legal laws
  • Technological Changes, etc.
